An innovative project that redefines what is possible in the world of carpentry and structural engineering. Thanks to cutting-edge technologies, Artificial Intelligence and the extensive experience of our team, we have contributed to a revolutionary architectural solution, designed to meet the highest standards of durability, efficiency and flexibility.

As a leading metalworking and carpentry company in the Lecco area, we provided technical support and complex machining at every stage of the project. Louven is an innovative system for the creation of free-form sunshades or walls, which can be used for both indoors and outdoors. The generative A.I. used for the design phases was combined with computational processes for the manufacturing phases. Our team used advanced machining processes, such as laser cutting combined with CNC bending and laser welding, ensuring that each component met the specific requirements of the project prototype.

DYNAMIC DESIGN AND STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY

The system is based on the automatic generation of a pattern of fluid strips that combine to form double-curved surfaces. Structural integrity is ensured by a “T” system, in which each strip is supported by a perpendicular element that acts as a backbone. This support structure is composed of aluminum triangulations, obtained through CNC bending, which give the strips smooth and dynamic movements. The 2-mm-thick aluminium triangulations offer strength, while the main strips, also made of 2 mm aluminium, are bent according to adjusted surfaces and joined by laser welding.
